If thinking about competitive running or cycling makes you break out into a sweat don’t worry, AM4MND MyWay is for you! There are so many ways that you can move, from skipping to dancing to your favourite song.  You can go alone or with family and friends.  Dog needing to lose weight?  Great – increase your daily dog walking activity.  Get off the bus/train one stop early and walk to and from work or school.   Whatever you choose to do, add a fundraising aspect to make it more FUN and more rewarding. Set yourself a fundraising target and get MOVING!!

Some ideas to get you movin’…
  • Step forward, step up or step out – can you do 5,000 steps/day for 10 days?
  • Skipping everyday for 10 minutes straight
  • Swim laps each day
  • See how many times you can go up and down the stairs
  • Join in with the online aerobics / dance / boxing workouts
  • Challenge yourself to do a mountain hike
  • Do a daily dance to your favourite song and post it to social media
  • Do some push-ups
  • Take your children for a walk or bike ride
  • Walk to / from work
  • Walk the dog (or just go it alone)
  • Organise a neighbourhood exercise hour
  • Shoot some hoops / kick a footy / Hit a tennis ball against the wall


The movement you choose needs to be right for you. 

If you’re up for a challenge, then we encourage you to push yourself!

Ultimately, by taking part in AM4MND, your moves will benefit you and the awareness and funds you raise will benefit the 2100 Australian’s currently living with MND.
